My father & I stopped in for lunch and we had a delicious lunch! He got salmon and I got the pesto salad with chicken, both were delicious. The waitress was attentive & kind. We loved the historical nature behind the restaurant! It's a lovely spot and the food is great!

5/5 Went to Rails for a quick lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it! I was in the area for work and on a whim stopped here for lunch, not at all expecting to stumble upon such a cute, aesthetic cafe! I ordered the beef tenderloin salad and it was amazing! It was a very large salad, with perfectly cooked beef tenderloin, I absolutely loved it! The inside of the restaurant is so cute and has several seating options, the outside is even cuter with seating options as well - it would be perfect in cooler weather for a date night, family dinner, or just a night out with friends! I would have loved to sit on the patio if it wasn't so hot. The bread was also amazing, I believe our waiter said that they get it from the bakery next door, along with their desserts. Our service was great, I wish I could remember our servers name but, since it was our first time in, he took us through the menu and told us his favorite things - one of which was the salad I ordered. Overall our experience here was great, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the food, the service, I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

Beef Marsala is delicious comfort food. Always delightful to dine at Rails. Wonderful food, wine, waitstaff and ambiance. Did not participate in desert tray, but OMG, what a selection!

LOVE this place! Staff are all so sweet, friendly, accommodating & efficient while still being personable! Even when we've arrived less than an hour before closing (9pm)! Food options are plentiful, delicious AND healthy (yes, you can get a gourmet juicy steak or burger too!). It's possible to enjoy eating in the lush patio even in Texas summer heat cause it's shaded, fanned AND misted! Save room for Lucious homemade desserts, if you dare! PS: Zach/waiter was phenomenal!

This place has award winning cakes and it is easy to see why. They bring out a delicious tray of all of their options and the waiter goes over them one by one. We enjoyed a piña colada style that I believe was their most popular. It is a nice quiet location with a beautiful outdoor section that I could see being rented for a small event. If you are in the area, this is the place to stop.

This place truly has everything going for it! The restaurant is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and the food is some of the best food you'll have anywhere! They are very accommodating and allow dogs on the patio, they also serve a menu with food and treats for pets. For those who have Celiac and gluten intolerance, they are extremely knowledgeable and very willing to help break down for you what's safe to eat on their menu. The Caprese salad was fantastic, as was the Pesto Chicken Pasta, and the Salmon filet with shrimp. The family finished the evening with some mint chocolate cake and said that it was delicious! One of the best meals I've had in a very long time!

I honestly did not have high hopes for restaurants in Kerrville but Rails was surprisingly delicious. We arrived 20 min early due to scheduling issues with our baby. We didn't expect for them to be able to accommodate us but we were sat right away despite the restaurant being pretty full. We were given menus and beverages pretty promptly. The food took a tiny bit of time - nothing egregious but they were super apologetic. We ordered the Beef Marsala and Chicken Alfredo. The Marsala was very tender and cooked to perfection. The sauce was definitely boss. The Chicken Alfredo is clearly made in house. My only regret is that there were no left overs. We also ordered a few cakes. The Pina Colada is what they are known for but I thought the Strawberry was the best. The cakes are on the sweeter side so I would share a slice.

Came around 3pm on a weekday and able to sit anywhere. Had the Creamy Penne with Chicken and my wife had the Beef Marsala. The Creamy Penne with Chicken was so good! Nice touch with the black peppercorn ground on it. Wife enjoyed the Beef Marsala. Finished off with desert. Staff was wonderfully. Just a really good cafe for an afternoon meal. Had gone in the past on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. So choose your time accordingly if you want the whole place to yourself.

This place was great! It's quaint, cozy, and romantic which is probably our favorite part about it. Not a big restaurant, but has a nice, homey feel to it. Our food was delicious, and the wine selection was satisfying. I had the Chicken Florentine, which was delicious. I love a heavy about of sauce, and the creamy spinach sauce was right up my alley. If you're feeling a lighter meal, the fantastic Linguine Napolitana may be a better choice. Finally, the service was great. We had no complaints. Definitely try this place for a nice date night or small get together!

Came here after the eclipse festivities so expected this place to be packed! We were seated in a timely manner, the only thing was the food took a bit too long. The server kept updating us though which we appreciated, but it can be challenging with a wiggly toddler. Food was pretty good! My son had the spaghetti with sides of fruit and applesauce that he mostly finished!
